Get to Know Me

I was born in Vail, Colorado where my dad moved to be a ski bum and my mom followed.  They, like many families have experienced in mountain communities, didn't see a way to raise a family and maintain their careers there. We moved to Idaho in late 1999 and we rang in the new millennium as Idahoans. I grew up in Star, Idaho, a small community in the ever growing Treasure Valley. The first 24 years of my life, my grandparents lived full time in Ketchum. This has been my favorite place since I can remember. I learned to ski on Dollar and how to fish in the ponds around town. We spent countless holidays celebrating with friends and family in this community.

In 2020 I was fortunate, after graduating from Elon University, to find a job at the Sun Valley Community School. Since then I have worked across the valley in many different facets in order to continue to live here. Often times I had to maintain multiple jobs, truly feeling the common phrase, "In Ketchum, you either have 3 houses or 3 jobs." I worked as a Concierge at the Sun Valley Lodge, as a server and caterer with The Haven, as the Studio Manager for Dev Khalsa Photography, a part- time nanny, a bartender at TnT Taproom, and with the Sun Valley Film Festival.Currently, I'm working at Visit Sun Valley as the marketing manager. I also manage VSV's grant with the State of Idaho and work with the Idaho Travel Council, a subset of the Department of Commerce. I do still occasionally cater and babysit to supplement my income, and I volunteer my time and experience for Haley Cutler, local World Cup ski racer.

I am fortunate to have my younger sister living here in the valley working as a Certified Medical Assistant in Ketchum. You will often see the two of us walking in town or on a trail with my foster fail from Mountain Humane, Bowie.

My dad always said the first rule of life is always pay attention.

This phrase is something I hold close. As a public servant, I think it is even more vital. Listening and paying attention to the constituants and valuing their input, reading and asking questions about data provided by our city employees, and observing day to day life in our community are all things I vow to do as a city council member.
